Children to collect clothing for those in need

For the next two weeks, the St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Mini-Vinnies, Youth and Young Vincentians will be encouraging their fellow students at Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy, both elementary and secondary campuses, to make a choice to go through their closets and drawers to donate their gently used clothing to the SVdP Thrift Store. They explain that through the Home Visit voucher program of local SVdP Conferences, clothing will be given to families in need at no cost to the family.

The Marinette District St. Vincent de Paul Council’s Thrift Store will benefit from the clothing drive. The Marinette SVdP District Thrift Store supports five conferences in Oconto, Crivitz-Amberg-Wausaukee, Niagara-Pembine, Marinette-Peshtigo and Menominee.

The Home Visitors of the five conferences write clothing vouchers to families in need. There is a great need for children's and adolescent's clothing items.
