New operations manager hired

MENOMINEE — Dan VandenAvond was appointed as operations manager at Christensen Machinery & Supply (CMS).

“Dan’s addition to the team is a great step forward as the 68-year old company continues to grow and market its products and services in the Midwest region,” said Steve Delgoffe, President of CMS.

VandenAvond will be involved with all aspects of CMS from an operational standpoint including service, manufacturing, warehousing, and office operations.

VandenAvond’s experience includes over 30 years of experience in plant maintenance, supervision and engineering, including 14 years as the plant engineering supervisor/maintenance manager at Anchor Coupling. Additional training in  the area of 5S, Lean, storeroom operations and scheduling. That knowledge will help CMS as the company evolves “from a traditional distributorship into a company that manufactures products and provides maintenance services to customers in support of both cutting tools and metalworking machinery,” as well as the company continues to “Improve the Customer Experience.”

Dan and his wife Barb live in Menominee. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and boating.
