WAUPACA, Wis. — Waupaca Foundry Inc., a Hitachi Metals company, held a ribbon cutting for the new Ironwood facility on Friday in Ironwood, Mich.

The facility, located at 1760 Liberty St., features 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space and will be used to clean and finish iron castings produced at its Marinette and Waupaca plants.

The facility represents an investment of $4.3 million and will create 61 new jobs. As a result of the expansion, Waupaca Foundry was awarded a $1.2 million Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. Waupaca Foundry employs 4,500 employees at seven locations throughout the United States.
