Harris Township Supervisor Peter Kleiman was elected first vice president of the Michigan Townships Association (MTA), at its annual meeting. The meeting was conducted during the 66th Annual MTA Educational Conference & Expo, April 1 through Thursday, in Grand Rapids.

Kleiman has been township supervisor since 1988 and has served on the MTA Board of Directors since 2011. He represents township officials in Menominee, Delta and Alger counties as District 3 director on the MTA Board and has served as secretary for the Menominee County MTA Chapter.

“I am honored to represent township residents on the MTA Board and bring their concerns to other directors and state officials,” Kleiman said. “MTA works hard to move our state forward and make it a better place to live, work and raise a family, and I am glad to be a part of it.”
