Library announces upcoming events
PESHTIGO — The Peshtigo Public Library is continuing its “discovering sea life” Story Time theme.
Story Time is a weekly, half hour program for toddlers and preschoolers, along with their parents, held Fridays at 10:30 a.m. The next sea life they are “discovering” is the starfish Friday, and seashells March 22. The group will read a few stories and make a take-home craft.
The Peshtigo Library still has tax forms. There is a table set up just outside the Library, in the Municipal Building, for all who need them.
Book Club for April will be held April 1 at 10 a.m. 
Rochelle Pennington is coming to the library to present “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” This free event will be held April 15 at 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

Fire department receives grant
LAKE — Mattison Insurance Agency of Marinette presented a $1,000 check to the Town of Lake Fire Department. The grant was made available by Mutual of Wausau Insurance Corp and was one of eight grants for 2019.
“Local fire departments provide an invaluable service to communities and we are proud to be able to present this check” said Bruce Mattison.

Local Democratic Party to meet 
STEPHENSON — The next monthly meeting of the Menominee County Democratic Party will be held Wednesday at the County Annex Building, S904 U.S. 41, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Katelyn Rader and Connor Raak from Senator Gary Peter’s office will be on hand to provide a legislative update. Senator Peters is a ranking member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees in the US Senate. Party members and the general public are all encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 6.
