Achievement: Harris’s job duties vary depending on which area of the hospital she is working in at any given time and may include her greeting everyone as they arrive; finding out their needs; registering them; verifying demographics; eliciting necessary information, scheduling walk-in labs, x-rays and EKGs. She has received Service Care Awards in Standard 2 and 6, as well as received 60 IMAD stamps in both 2016 and 2017, while employed at BAMC. Jenny Rasner, Patient Access Manager, says, “Marvette is a great example of an employee who is always willing to go above and beyond, whether it is for a patient or a co-worker. She is not afraid to give feedback and does what she can to make our patients have a great experience.”

Background: Harris graduated from William M. Raines High School in Jacksonville, FL. and obtained certification in Phlebotomy from North Florida Medical Institute in Jacksonville and a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from Rasmussen College in Green Bay, WI. She is currently attending NWTC in pursuit of her Nursing Associate Degree to become a Registered Nurse.
