MARINETTE — Marinette County Treasurer Bev Noffke reminded Marinette County property owners on Thursday that the second installment of the 2017 real estate property taxes is due on or before July 31.

All Marinette County postponed and delinquent real estate property taxes are payable to the Marinette County Treasurer at 1926 Hall Ave. in Marinette. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To avoid delays and ensure accuracy, tax bill stubs or tax parcel numbers should be included with all tax payments, whether made by mail or in person.

In July, the second installment can also be paid at the Peshtigo National Bank, in Peshtigo only, and at the Coleman branch of Associated Bank. No payments for delinquent or personal property taxes will be accepted at these banks.

Taxpayers wanting to pay their taxes with a credit card can only do so at or by telephone at 1-800-272-9829. For these types of payment, taxpayers will need the Marinette County jurisdiction code of 5957 and their tax parcel numbers. A convenience fee of up to 2.89 percent of the payment amount will be charged on any credit card payment.

Per Wisconsin State Statutes, any property tax second installments which are not paid on time will be considered delinquent, and will be charged interest of 7 percent in August, and 1 percent per month thereafter.
