Jorgensen fires first ace

MARINETTE — Chris Jorgensen of Marinette and Waunakee’s Ray King fired aces at Little River Country Club on Monday.

Jorgensen used a 6-iron to fire his first hole-in-one on the 15th hole. He was playing with his son, Braeden.

King used a 5-iron to ace the 154-yard 13th hole. He was playing with his father-in-law, Tom VanBeek, and brother-in-law, Jordan VanBeek, both of Peshtigo.

Redbirds to hold fish fry Friday

MARINETTE — A Friday night fish fry and a Pedersen Ball Park baseball game are an irresistible match.

The Marinette Redbirds will hold their second annual fish fry before their 7:30 p.m. game against the Green Bay Storm.

The fish fry will begin at 6 and costs $10. Regular admission prices apply to the baseball game.

The Redbirds and Storm will play a Northeastern League game.
