Chenier, Jacobson win at FORE Their Future

MARINETTE — Bryce Jacobson and Mariah Chenier won titles at Sunday’s FORE Their Future High School Championship.

The girls’ tourney was shortened to nine holes due to rain. Chenier won with a 46 at Little River Country Club. Her sister, Kailyn, placed second with a 51. Maija Carriveau shot a 55 and Ashley LaPrise carded a 64.

Jacobson won the 18-hole boys’ tourney with a 76. Trent Carriveau was second with an 80, Ty Kretz fired an 83 and Adam Bauman was fourth with an 88.

Kretz takes 2nd at Wisconsin Junior PGA event

OSHKOSH — Marinette’s Ty Kretz placed second in Monday’s Wisconsin PGA Junior Tour event at Oshkosh Country Club.

Kretz fired a 75 to finish one stroke behind Plover’s Logan Pechinski in the boys’ 14-15 age division. They finished ahead of every golfer in the 16-18 age division.

Oconto’s Megan Ryan tied for eighth among 16- 18-year-old girls with a 100 round.

Maroon Booster Club taking ad submissions 

MENOMINEE — The Maroon Athletic Booster Club is taking renewals and new business ad information for the Menominee football and basketball programs.

The deadline for information to be received is Aug. 12 due to the first home game being the Aug. 26 M&M Game. Signature ads are also being collected, and the deadline is the same. The cost is $10 and can be sent to 1510 7th St., Menominee. Checks should be made out to the Maroon Athletic Booster Club.

Stickers can be picked up at the athletic office after the due date or at the varsity football games. Please include an e-mail address if possible for club information to be available to you.
