COLEMAN — An interesting game early on turned into a blowout in favor of Coleman in its WIAA Division 3 regional opener against Menominee Indian.

Holding a narrow 2-1 lead through the first three innings, the Cougars plated four in the fourth, added two in the fifth before putting the game away with five in the sixth to finish on top 13-3 on Thursday.

Brandon Engels and Nick Teteak each roped three and drove in four runs a piece to lead Coleman.

That was more than enough offense for Seth Seefeldt, who went the distance, allowing just three runs while finishing with eight strikeouts for the Cougars.

Coleman, the No. 2 seed, advances to the regional semifinals and will play host to No. 3-seeded Bonduel on Tuesday.
