NEGAUNEE, Mich. — The M&M Thunder extended their win streak by four games over the weekend.

They earned a pair of wins at Negaunee on Saturday and added two more wins at Keweenaw on Sunday, outscoring their opponents 21-6 in the weekend sweep.

Wesley Knutson scored both Thunder goals in a 2-0 win over Negaunee in Saturday’s first game. Nick Kehoe and Justin Netemeyer each assisted one of the goals while Braeden Park stopped all 19 shots faced in the M&M goal.

Despite not getting the start, Park had to enter Saturday’s second game to replace Niya Patneaude, who was injured in a collision in the net. Knutson, Adam Lemery, Netemeyer and Paul Nashua scored Thunder goals in the 4-1 win. Patneaude had four saves and Park added three while M&M fired 29 shots at the Negaunee goal.
