MARINETTE — The M&M Bantam hockey team earned a pair of decisive shutout wins at home on Sunday.

The Thunder defeated De Pere 11-0 in the first game and 9-0 in the second. Mason Boivin and Charlie Zimmer had hat tricks for M&M; Theron Thayer added two goals; Landon McKeefrey had three assists and Kennison Boivin had two assists.

Ethan Pullen scored four goals for the Thunder in the second win. Zimmer, Simon Bowers, Olivia Koshorek, Cole DeWitt and Boivin added one goal each.

This weekend the Thunder (7-1-1) host a two-day tournament that starts on Saturday.

12 U Girls

A pair of losses on Saturday were followed with a pair of wins on Sunday for the M&M 12U girls hockey team.

The Thunder were outscored 18-2 in a pair of losses to Central Wisconsin 12U on Saturday but recovered to outscore Central Wisconsin 10U 15-5 in two victories on Sunday.

Camryn Brissette rejected 16 of the 28 shots she faced in the M&M goal in Saturday’s opener, but the Thunder were unable to get any goals in the loss. She saved 10 of the 16 shots she faced in the second game.

Ava McDonald and Addy Johnson scored the M&M goals in the 6-2 loss; Courtney Campbell and McDonald had one assist each.

Johnson scored four goals for M&M in Sunday’s 8-3 early win. Campbell, Zoe Bantes, Natalie Haile and Brianna Torkko added one goal each; Torkko and Haile had one assist each and McDonald saved 12 of the 15 shots she faced.

Campbell and Johnson both notched hat tricks in Sunday’s second game, each scoring three goals in the 7-2 win. Brissette added one goal while Torkko, Addy Johnson and Arianna Johnson had one assist each. Kyler Appleglise made three saves in goal.
