PESHTIGO — Kennedy Olson scored a game-high 19 points for the Menominee girls JV basketball team in a 37-31 win over Peshtigo on Saturday.

Olson scored eight points in the first half and helped the Maroons to a four-point lead at halftime. Sydney Lund scored 12 of her 13 team-high points for Peshtigo in the second half but the Bulldogs couldn’t close the gap at the free throw line, making eight of their 20 attempts in the game.

Jessica Swiatnicki added nine points for Peshtigo; Karli Cahill had seven.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Luxemburg-Casco girls JV team held Marinette to just nine points in the first half of a 42-20 win on Friday.

Hannah Chenier and Amara Smalls scored five points each for the Marines; Alli Kacalo and Jamie Scully added four points each.

SQUIRT HOCKEY

The M&M Thunder (10U) won three games over the weekend to have a four-game streak entering this weekend’s games against Green Bay.

Collin Campbell scored two goals and had an assist for the Thunder in a 4-2 win over De Pere to begin the win streak on Dec. 1. Conner Radtke had 17 saves for M&M. The Thunder then earned a win over De Pere (B) on Saturday.

Campbell again scored two goals and an assist in the Thunder’s 5-3 win. Connor Annala and Wyatt Denny added one goal each; Logan Sakovitz had a goal and an assist. Radtke again had 17 saves.

Radtke had 15 saves in the Thunder’s 5-0 win over Shawano on Sunday. Campbell had two goals and two assists; Andrew Halfman scored two goals and Annala had a goal with an assist.

Annala scored two goals in M&M’s second win of the day. Campbell added the third goal in a 3-2 win over Shawano. Radtke had 19 saves for M&M, which hosts Green Bay for two games this Saturday and goes to Oshkosh for two more on Sunday.

6th Grade – Dec. 6

Crivitz 19, Marinette (B) 9: Wyatt Bemis had nine points for Crivitz. Lance Kurz scored three points for Marinette.

Menominee (B) 31, Peshtigo 20: Keegan Wickstrom scored eight points for Menominee. Peshtigo’s Nathan Kleikamp had six points.

Menominee (A) 30, Marinette (A) 24: Jonah Slawinski had a game-high 14 points for Menominee. Jaxon Smith scored 12 points for Marinette.
