The M&M 14U Bantam hockey team won all four of its games in a home tournament over the weekend.

MARINETTE — The M&M Thunder 14U Bantam hockey team earned a shutout sweep over the weekend to win last weekend’s home tournament.

The Thunder won four shutout decisions over three days, outscoring their opponents by a total of 24-0. They defeated Fond du Lac, Appleton, Middleton and Shaw. Goalie Dylan Ziemke rejected each shot he faced in the four-game stretch.

Ethan Pullen scored a hat trick in Friday’s 6-0 win over Fond du Lac. Joey Danielak, Ashlynn Haley and Charlie Zimmer scored on goal each; Zimmer added two assists while Haley, Grant Burg, Mason Boivin, Olivia Koshorek and Pullen each had an assist.

M&M then earned a pair of wins on Saturday, starting with an 8-0 decision over Appleton. Mason Denny scored the hat trick in this game and Simon Bowers added two more goals. Zimmer, Pullen and Kennison Boivin scored one goal each; Danielak, had two assists while Landon McKeefrey, Bowers, Mason Boivin, Kennison Boivin, Haley, Pullen and Zimmer had one assist each.

Pullen scored his second hat trick of the weekend in the Thunder’s 9-0 win over Middleton in Saturday’s second game. Mason Boivin added two more scores; Theron Thayer, Mason Denny and Zach Wescott scored one goal each. Danielak had two more assists; Zimmer, Kennison Boivin, McKeefrey and Chad Kenney added one assist each.

Goals were much more rare in Sunday’s finale, which the Thunder won with just a single score. Denny had the game’s lone goal, with an assist from Danielak, to give M&M the 1-0 win.

10U Squirt hockey

The M&M Thunder split a pair of games in De Pere on Saturday. The Thunder took a 3-1 loss in their opener but recovered with a 4-2 win in the second game.

 Logan Sakovitz scored M&M’s only goal in the loss and then he scored one of the Thunder’s goals in the win; Collin Campbell scored a hat trick in the second game; Connor Annala added an assist.

Girls JV basketball

Paige Cappaert scored a game-high 14 points for Stephenson in a 49-11 win over Superior Central on Monday.

Boys JV Basketball

Preston Rehwinkel led Peshtigo to a 42-34 win at Menominee on Monday. Hunter Shepeck led the Maroons with nine points.
