OCONTO — A 41-point first half boosted the Peshtigo boys basketball team to an 80-60 win over Oconto on Saturday.

Trent Carriveau scored 16 points and Nathan Goneau added 11 for the Bulldogs, who built a double-digit first-half lead after taking the lead from the Blue Devils near the midway point of the half. Oconto led 13-12 before Peshtigo went on a 10-0 run.

Peshtigo took a 33-22 lead late in the half and went on an 8-2 run to take a 41-24 lead into the break. The Bulldogs extended that lead early in the second half, going up 46-27 at one point.

Oconto 3-pointers helped it post 36 points in the second half, but it couldn’t close the gap on Peshtigo.

Caleb Moe and Josh Woller had 16 points each for the Blue Devils while Zach Sherman added 10. Damon Jones had nine points for Peshtigo; Reid Marquardt and Cameron Noffke had eight points each.
