GREEN BAY — Playing at a difficult Thornberry Creek golf course, Oconto faired well by winning its regional and advancing to sectionals with a score of 385.

The Blue Devils had all five golfers finish in the top 16, led by Will Sherman, who shot an 83 to take third. Fellow Oconto teammate Andrew Westphal also cracked the top five with a fifth-place finish of 92.

Placing fourth overall and also advancing to sectional play was Lena with a team score of 454. Blaydn Anderson led the Wildcats with a round of 108 and both Dalton Thomson and Mason Simonson shot rounds of 113 to finish in the top 20.

St. Thomas Aquinas Academy finished in sixth with a team score of 464. Alex Powers led the way for the Cavaliers with a 107, good for a top 15 finish. Kianna Bullin shot a 115 to place 24th.

Tyler Kiehnau of Sevastopol shot medalist honors with a round of 80 and teammate Alex Krause took second with an 82. Both players qualified for sectionals as individuals.
