The MHSAA released its classifications for the 2020-2021 school year and Menominee is one of seven teams moving from Class B down to Class C.

Menominee, the only team from the U.P. making the change, is right on the cusp of Class C and Class B, so the potential to stay in Class B is still there. The enrollment breakdown for each Class is as follows: Class A – 831 and above; Class B – 392-830; Class C – 192-391; Class D – 181 and below.
