Fishing pros hurry out to their fishing spots during the second day of the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour tournament Friday in Marinette.

MARINETTE — The Cabela’s National Walleye Tour held at Menekaunee Harbor wrapped up Friday, with pro-angler John Hoyer taking home first and co-angler Dillion Robinson winning their respective divisions.

Robinson, a fisherman from Walnut Grove, Minn., finished with a total weight of 74.25 pounds to win by almost 10 pounds over second-place finisher Drake McCarthy from Minnesota Lake, Minn., who totaled 64.38. Ronald Hmielewski of Marengo, Wis., came in third with 59.73.

Aaron Thomsen of Menominee took 41st (29.83) and Bill Marklein, also of Menominee, came in 84th (15.21).

Hoyer hails from Orono, Minn., and won with a total of 80.33 to take home the grand prize of a new boat; Joe Okada of Cambridge, Wis., took second (74.95) and Campbellsport, Wis.’s Max Wilson came in third (71.14).
