MENOMINEE — Riverside Golf Club held its annual 3 Man Scramble on Saturday and Sunday with the team of Ryan Glover, Tim and Evan Kramer shooting 25-under-par to win the Championship Flight.

The team carded a 60 (31-29) on Saturday and came back on Sunday with the lowest score of the weekend, tearing up the course for a 59 (29-30) to win by five strokes. Steve, Brian and Nick Douglas came in second with a two-day score of 124 after shooting 64 (31-33) on Saturday and 60 (31-29) on Sunday. Joey Collard, Bill and Dakota Langlois tied for third with a 125 (61-64), tying with Jim, Mike and Matt Wagner (62-63) and Steve Schmidt, Nick Nerat and Wes Hoffman (63-62). 

Dennis, Charlie and Mark Siem won the 1st Flight with a total of 126 (66-60) to beat the trio of Matt Kowalski, Danny Sullivan and Brad Thielen who shot 128 (65-63). Mike Mullin, Tom and Jeff Anderson took third, carding a 67 on Day 1 and a 64 on Day 2 for a two-day score of 131.

In the 2nd Flight, Glen Reinke, Bob Koehn and Oscar Burnett shot a 69 on Saturday to be in a three-way tie for first, but turned around on Sunday to shoot 63 (30-33) to win the tournament by five strokes with a final two-day score of 132. Lars Dannberg, Brandon Lemery and Larry Bowsher were tied for the lead along with Budde Fifarek, Paul and Jordan Boyce after Saturday’s round, but Danberg, Lemery and Bowsher shot 68 on Sunday to tie for second and Fifarek, and the Boyce’s carded a 70 to tie for fourth.

Wes Stripling, Bill Olsen and Tom Schenk tied for second with a two-day total of 137, recovering from a 72 on Saturday with a 65 on Sunday. Tying for fourth was the group of Charlie Klumb, Matt Harshman and Dan Norman, who shot 71-68 for a total of 139.

Riverside will be holding its annual 2 Man Best Ball Invitational on July 13 & 14 in addition to hosting the Upper Peninsula Ladies Golf Association Senior Ladies Championship on August 12.
