MARINETTE — The inexperience of the St. Thomas Aquinas Academy boys basketball team showed once again on Friday against an experienced Gillett squad.

Behind a 24-point outburst by Elijah Frammes, the Tigers hammered the Cavaliers 79-16.

Gillett jumped out to a 46-9 lead at the half, led by 20 points from Frammes.

Cole Long added 17 points for Gillett (3-0 overall, 2-0 in the M&O). Logan Block finished with 11 points and Lars Grover had eight.

Griffin Knox scored a team-high seven points for the Cavaliers (0-3 overall, 0-2 in the M&O) and Brennan Cyr-Smith added five.
