ST. PAUL, Minn. — Billy Retza, a former Crivitz High School football player, along with the entire Macalester College football team is touring Italy from May 20-28, culminating with an exhibition game against the Bergamo Lions of the Italian Football League on Sunday.

"This visit to Italy is about allowing the young men in our program the opportunity to live out the mission of the college," head football coach Tony Jennison said. "Internationalism is one of the core pillars on which Macalester was founded. It's a very exciting time for us, and we are looking forward to touring throughout Italy and also playing the Bergamo Lions."

The Bergamo Lions have been playing American football since 1983 and won the first Italian Football League championship in 2008. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Bergamo, which is 9:30 a.m. Central time. The Lions' YouTube channel is planning on providing a live stream of the game.
