CRIVITZ —  A sluggish start was answered with a strong second half as Crivitz continued its hot start by defeating Algoma 66-46 in boys basketball on Friday.

After a low-scoring 27-17 first half, the Wolverines put up 39 in the second half while keeping the Wolves in check.

Jaden Werner netted 16 second-half points and finished with 20 overall to lead the Wolverines. Chandler Kaldenberg finished with 19, Dawson Andrist had 11 and Eian Baumann finished with 10.

Carter Zermena led Algoma with 13 points and Chase Peronto finished with eight.

Crivitz improved to 2-0.
