PORT HURON, Mich. — After a heartbreaking loss at the hands of Mid-Michigan College on Friday, Marcus McKenney the Bay College men’s basketball team had a Saturday matchup with the 6-1 St. Clair County Community College.

Bay came out firing in the first half and behind 14 first half points from Ryan Robinette the Norse held a 46-38 halftime lead.

After shooting 44 percent in the first half, Bay couldn’t keep up the shooting in the second, dropping to 31 percent and getting outscored 53-32 to lose its second straight 91-78.

McKenney (Menominee) fouled out in 22 minutes but had three points and three steals.

Women’s Basketball

Amanda Majewski (Peshtigo) and the Lakeland Muskies women’s basketball team defeated Benedictine University on Saturday to get back to 1-1 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

After trailing 29-25 at the half, Lakeland outscored Benedictine 17-5 in the third quarter and held on to win 60-50.

Majewski totaled four points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Muskies (4-2 overall, 1-1 conference). Megan Will led the team with 18 points and Miranda Jacobson had 13 points, 15 rebounds and five assists.

Lakeland hosts Concordia University on Tuesday.
