Norm Coon had an excellent week with scores of 50, 25, 25, 23, 23 and 23. Men’s High Gun is led by Dave Seymour with a 365 total and 24.33 average, followed by Lee Fernstrum (364 and 24.27), Dan Bayee (356 and 23.73), Mac McAllister (352 and 23.47), Gene Lemery and Jim Stenzel (351 and 23.40).

Women’s High Gun is led by Libby Theuerkauf with a 334 total and 22.27 average, followed by Heather Juckem (316 and 21.07), Pat Barker (306 and 20.40), Mary Chevalier (303 and 20.20) and Sandy Waugus (271 and 18.07).

The week’s High Squad was shot on Thursday by Sully Sullivan (25), Don Kakuk (25), Al Nerat (24), Sandy Waugus (18) and Mike Waugus (25) for a squad total of 117.

In team action Van’s IGA defeated Kakuk’s 120-119, Keeter’s Construction beat Roadhouse II 121-114, Roadhouse I defeated Lithocrafters Printing 121-118, Wild Rivers Forestry outshot Little Digger Construction 121-117, Barker’s Ridge edged Angeli’s 121-120, and Winsert lost to the bye score, 119.2-119.

The annual Ed Barker Memorial 100-Bird Club Shoot was held on Aug. 14. This year, 16 club members participated. Top shooters were Sully Sullivan and Norm Coon, each with a total score of 98 out of 100. Finishing in second place was Mike Waugus with a score of 97. Third place was shared by Steve Kakuk III, Don Kakuk, Jim LaCanne and Jeff Brofka with identical scores of 96. Paul Korn scored a 95  and Tony Kakuk shot 94.

League and open shooting are available at the club on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 9. The trap range is open to all area shotgunners, whether you want to shoot in the league or only an occasional night just for fun. Everyone is welcome.
