MARINETTE — A former Coleman High School junior varsity volleyball coach who faces charges related to repeated sexual assault of a minor will go to trial this summer.

Jason R. Nieminski, 41, Pound, appeared Wednesday morning in Marinette County Circuit Court Branch 1. Circuit Judge Dave Miron set a trial from June 11-13. A pretrial status conference is set for 9 a.m. May 31.

Nieminski is represented by attorney Brent Debord, while Marinette County District Attorney DeShea Morrow is the prosecutor.

If convicted of the felony charges, the defendant faces 115 years in prison and $320,000 in fines.

Nieminski also faces a misdemeanor charge of intimidate victim/dissuade reporting.

The defendant is accused of exchanging sexually explicit text messages and photos and having sex on multiple occasions with a high school girl, who was 15 at the time. The criminal complaint states that Nieminski provided birth control for the girl.

Nieminski has entered not guilty pleas to all charges. He has resigned from the Coleman School District. @Photo -cutline:Nieminski
