MARINETTE — Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve has announced personnel additions and changes in the sheriff’s office.

Deputy Jeremiah Haile has been promoted to detective to replace detective Dan Miller, who was elected Florence County sheriff in November.

Deputy Zak Albrecht has been appointed the newly-created recreational patrol deputy. This position will concentrate in the areas of snowmobile, ATV/UTV and marine patrols.

Hired to fill open deputy sheriff positions are Kyle Liebergen, Jesse Parr and Patrick Callahan.

Liebergen, a Niagara native, comes from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office where he served as a deputy. Parr, an Amberg native, comes from Lincoln County where he served as a deputy. Callahan, an Illinois native, comes from the Wisconsin State Patrol where he served Marinette County as a state trooper for the past year.

With these promotions and additions, the sworn division is at full staff, Sauve said. Parr, Liebergen and Callahan will be involved in field training for several weeks on patrol.

The Sheriff’s Office is presently recruiting for corrections officers needing to fill two upcoming openings. Interested persons can contact Marinette County Human Resources Department for more information.
