Menominee County Sheriff

■ Bobby Baenen, 34, Marinette was arrested at 11:29 a.m. Oct. 28 in the City of Menominee on a warrant for failure to appear for a probation violation arraignment out of 95-A District Court of Menominee. Baenen paid bond and was released with a court date and time to appear.

■ A deputy responded to a one-vehicle traffic crash at 1:29 p.m. Oct. 29 in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by Leonard Massoni, 81, Stephenson, was traveling south on U.S. 41 when he lost control of his vehicle causing him to run into the ditch and strike a tree. He did not report feeling pain but he was transported to the hospital for precautionary purposes. 

■ Shannon Estep, 41, Crivitz, was arrested at 1:29 p.m. Nov. 29 on warrant in the City of Menominee. The warrant was for failure to appear to show cause out of 95-A District Court of Menominee.

■ A vehicle driven by Joseph Hinman, 24, Kingsford, Mich., was traveling north on U.S. 41 at 3:54 a.m. Nov. 3 in Stephenson Township when he had to brake for some deer. A vehicle driven by Jason Dempsey, 44, Daggett, was also traveling north and failed to see Hinman braking and struck Hinman from behind, causing him to go into the ditch and overturn. No injuries were reported but both vehicles were towed from the scene.

■ Steven Polaski, 46, Menominee, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. Nov. 5 on warrant in Menominee Township. The warrant was for fail to appear for arraignment out of 95-A District Court of Menominee.

■ A deputy was dispatched to the Village of Daggett at 5:21 p.m. Nov. 6 for a report of a suspicious situation. The female callers stated they were walking around when a gray car pulled up to them and was motioning for them to come over. The female subjects stated the men in the car did this a couple of times before the female subjects took off running due to the men in the care being suspicious. Extra patrols of the area are being conducted.

■ Deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in Stephenson at 12:14 p.m. Nov. 7. A farm truck hauling a manure tanker driven by Bradley Jashinsky, 43, Stephenson, was traveling on the road when was approaching an intersection. Jashinsky stated he lost his brakes and attempted to make the corner anyway, causing the truck to roll over and strike some trees.

■ A deputy responded to a one-vehicle traffic crash on Pinewoods loop in Ingallston Township at 4:11 p.m. Nov. 7. A vehicle driven by Peggy Wesoloski, 54, Menominee, swerved and missed a deer causing her to run off the road and into a ditch.
