Menominee County Sheriff

■ A deputy responded at 5:18 p.m. Oct. 16 to an address on M-35 in Menominee Township for a report of a malicious destruction of property complaint. The caller stated he return home and found someone had kicked his front door and damaged the lock. The caller said no one made entry to his house but the caller still wanted to press charges for the damage to the door. After an investigation as conducted, Cameron Day, 17, Menominee was arrested for malicious destruction of property under $200.

■ A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective equipment at 5:09 a.m Oct. 17 in Stephenson Township. Upon further investigation, the driver Jackie Glover, 40, Stephenson was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear to show cause - fines and costs out of 95-A District Court of Menominee.

■ A deputy responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at 6:24 p.m. Oct. 18 on U.S. 2 and 41 in Harris Township. A vehicle driven by Rebecca Gagne, 35, Wilson, was making a left-hand turn off of U.S. 2 and 41 when she was side-swiped by another vehicle driven by Rodney Burns, 41, Norway.

■ A deputy initiated a traffic stop at 10 p.m. Oct. 18 in Menominee Township for speed. Upon further investigation the driver a 25-year-old Green Bay man was arrested for no driver’s license and given a written warning for speed and no proof of insurance.

■ Deputies were dispatched at 1:58 a.m. Oct. 19 to a residence in Menominee Township for an assault that had just taken place. Upon arriving on scene, deputies located several people involved in the assault but no one wanted to pursue charges. Two parties were warned of criminal trespass and the incident was closed.

■ A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 3:14 p.m Oct. 20 for speed in Spalding Township. Upon further investigation the driver, Bryce Montague, 20, Carney, was arrested for no driver’s license.

■ A deputy responded at 12:46 p.m. Oct. 21 to a two-vehicle traffic accident in Spalding Township. A vehicle driven by Mary Savage, 80, Powers, was about to make a left-hand turn off of U.S. 2 and 41 when she was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Sandra Phillips, 79, Cheboygan, Mich. Phillips stated she did not see Savage slow down and was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Both parties were transported to the hospital to treat injuries and both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Phillips was cited for unable to stop in assured clear distance and was released.
