Menominee County Sheriff

■  A deputy was dispatched to the City of Menominee for an assault that had just occurred at 7:48 p.m. July 3. An investigation was conducted and the incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges. 

■ Justin Love, 46, Amberg, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. on a warrant in Dickinson County. The warrant was for violation of probation out of the 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. He was tranposrted to Menominee County Jail.

■ Deputies responded to a one-vehicle traffic accident at 10:54 p.m. July 3 in Spalding Township. A vehicle driven by Hannah Schoen, 22, Hermansville, was traveling on U.S. 41 when she swerved to miss a deer. She lost control and entered the ditch where she struck an embankment. No injuries were reported, but her vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.

■ Deputies were dispatched to a possible underage drinking party at 3:05 a.m. in Menominee Township. While investigating, the deputies arrested Joshua Therriault, 25, Marinette, on a warrant for driving while license suspended out of 95A District Court of Menominee.

■ A deputy responded to a campground at 8:30 a.m. July 4 in Cedarville Township for some found property. The caller stated while he was fishing, he located a wallet and wanted it turned over to law enforcement so the owner could be found. The wallet was later returned to the owner.

■ A deputy responded to a medical call at 12:30 p.m. July 4 in Lake Township. Michael Pirlot, 54, Escanaba, was traveling on M-35 in Cedarville Township at 9:30 a.m. when he struck a deer. Pirlot stated the deer caused minor damage however, he doesn’t remember much after that. He said he remembered turning right off of M-35 but nothing afterwards. He was later found disorientated July 4 at 12:30 p.m. in Lake Township. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
