MARINETTE — A Peshtigo man was sentenced to both jail and prison for a variety of charges last week in Marinette County Circuit Court Branch 2.

Jordan J. Micheels, 24, will serve three years in prison for escape/criminal arrest. That is to be followed by three years extended supervision.

Micheels also was sentenced to nine months in jail for resisting or obstructing an officer and six months in jail for possession of THC. The two jail sentences will run concurrent, but they will run consecutive to the prison sentence.

Another felony charge of escape/criminal arrest, along with two additional misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed, but read in for sentencing purposes.

The crimes happened on Jan. 24 of this year and Micheels entered guilty pleas on June 3.
