Man sent to prison on drug charge

MARINETTE — A 30-year-old Marinette man will serve time in prison on a drug conviction.

Richard L. Ray, 2806 Taylor St., was sentenced Monday in Marinette County Circuit Court Branch 1 to four years in prison for possession with intent to deliver amphetamines, less than 3 grams. The sentence if followed by five years extended supervision.

The crime took place March 29 of this year and Ray entered a guilty plea on Sept. 3.

Three other charges were dismissed, but read in for sentencing purposes: possession of drug paraphernalia; maintain drug trafficking place; and possession of firearm — convicted of out-of-state felony.
