MARINETTE — According to a press release from the Marinette Police Department, the High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) that has been taking place on Hall Avenue has, to date, resulted in 31 traffic stops, 18 traffic citations, 15 traffic warnings and one felony drug arrest. HVE will continue to take place throughout the summer, officer availability permitting.

“HVE is designed to change unlawful traffic behaviors and reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities,” the release said. “HVE is not a strategy designed to increase arrests; in fact, it may yield decreased citation counts over time.”
