“These two cities really need to get priorities straight. Quit building frivolities like the REC Center and fancy fountains. Years ago, if you wanted to go swimming, a path to the bay was all you needed. Exercise was something that you did outside.

“Time to face the facts: These two cites are slowly getting smaller and dying. Time to prepare for how to survive when the population drops to 8,000, 7,000, 6,000, 5,000. Do what the taxpayers pay you to do, basic services. You might even have to start graveling some of the lesser-traveled streets. No more, ‘just raise property taxes.’ Live within your means like everyone else. No more ‘fiddling while Rome burns.’

“And if you think that Marinette Marine is going to save you, think again. As soon as the Democrats gain control of the government, military spending is going to come to a screeching halt. The money will be spent elsewhere like on providing for all those fine folks streaming in through the southern border.

“Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but saying it isn’t so and pretending won’t make the problem go away.”
