“The Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) called for an end to Gov. Evers’ COVID-19 Safer at Home order when it expired April 24. The Republican leadership in the state legislature has taken the governor to court to overturn his order to extend the Safer at Home order to May 26. Nine days after April 24 the number of COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin went from 5,356 to 8,236 an increase of 2,880. An increase of 53%. Many of these cases are located just 50 miles to the south of us. What part of emergency does the Republican Party not understand? We all want to return to normal, and we all want the economy to heal. But I think we all want to be alive to see it too.”
