Dear Editor,

To Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: Keep up the good work. You are saving our lives while yours is being threatened.

To all who have survived this deadly pandemic (so far):

Until we have a viable vaccine I will trade some of my personal freedoms for your continued safety. Meanwhile, think twice about this pandemic that is currently threatening our global community with a slow, choking, death. The COVID-19 virus wants a conversation with you during which it eats you for lunch.

Your duty to yourself, your neighbors and our frontline workers is to social distance, mask and hand sanitize.

Any other conversation about political agendas, or world order, is secondary to survival in the face of a worldwide pandemic that has killed 87,000 innocent Americans and promises to kill many more.
