Dear Editor,

Here are some ways to get out from under the Michigan no-fault insurance cost. This law hurts all Michigan drivers especially seniors to pay twice for coverage. Go to your computer and search Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.Gov.

Fill out a form and send it to your auto insurance carrier. Or phone, 833-275-3437. Or phone Beau LaFave, State Rep., 517-373-0156. And/or email BeauLaFave@house.mi.gov.

Changes happen the first week in July. It could save you a couple of hundred dollars. You should do this action sooner rather than later to avoid the rush. You need to prove your vehicle/motorcycle is registered in Michigan and you have insurance, otherwise, you will answer to law enforcement and the court.
