Russell Henry Walters, 79, of Marinette passed away peacefully July 7, 2019, surrounded by his family. Russell was born on July 16, 1939, to the late Albert and Mary (Miller) Walters from Town of Lake.
Russell loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, gardening, and just being outside. He had a love for all sports and followed them closely along with the local high school teams. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Porterfield and Harmony Sportsman Clubs, and M&M Great Lakes Sport Fishermen. He worked at Scott Paper/Kimberly Clark for over 35 years and retired March of 1999. Russ loved spending time with his family.
Russ is survived by his loving wife, Helen; two daughters: Sheila (Eddie) Reznichek of Reedsville, Wis., and Rhonda (Michael) Johnson of Washington, Mich.; one granddaughter: Anisha Walters of Crivitz; two great-grandchildren: Zachary Walters and Chloe Meyers; and one furry grandpuppy, Meggie. He is also survived by three brothers: James Walters, Garold (Lois) Walters, and Gerald (Veta) Walters; five sisters: Caroline (Kenneth) Walters, Laverne (George) Eggener, Judy (Lee) Sanborn, Lois (Roger) Vista, Grace Wedin; many special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Robert (Marion) Miller and brother-in-law, Gerald Wedin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, at SS. Joseph and Edward Parish in Walsh from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., with Reverend Jess Berdol officiating. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.  
A memorial fund has been established.
