Patricia Lou (Wesoloski) Olsen, 90, formerly of Menominee, Mich., passed away at the Luther Home on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019.  Patricia was born in Menominee on July 18, 1929, to John (Jack) and Sadie Mae (Bengtson) Wesoloski.
Patricia graduated from Menominee High School class of 1947. She married Charles Olsen on Nov. 12, 1977, in Menominee.  He preceded her in death on May 14, 2015. Patricia was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  She loved people and was an energetic and popular bartender at the Menominee American Legion for over thirty years. A lifelong love of music always moved her to dance and sing along to her favorite songs. From her childhood days, when she often went by the nickname “Patsy Lou,” came a wonderful sense of humor that never faded over time … even through failing health.  She was admired for her decorating talents and could turn any house into a warm and comfortable home. Travel also brought her joy with visits to family in Colorado and Minnesota, tours around the country with husband, Charlie, and a memorable dream trip to Hawaii with friends.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Karen Loewecke of Menominee; son, Carl (Cubby) and his wife, Nancy (Moore) Loewecke, of Lino Lakes, Minn.; two grandchildren: Carl Loewecke of Loretto, Minn., and Jessie Loewecke of Columbia Falls, Mont.; two step-daughters: Mary (Dennis Kanka) Rankovich of Santa Fe, N.M., and Melissa Olsen of Germantown, Wis.;  nieces: Barbara (Joe) Lopez and Jill (Mike) Bondarchuk and their families in Colorado; and nephew, Brian (Tami) Wesoloski and his family in Utah. Extended family close to Patricia also include sister-in-law, Shirley Wesoloski of Texas; along with the Moore and Rejman families of Minnesota. She is also survived by her second husband, Robert Tomek, and his children. In addition to her parents and husband, Charles, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wesoloski; sister-in-law, Marie (Mimi) Wesoloski; nephew, Robert Wesoloski, Jr.; as well as her first husband, Carl Alvin Loewecke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
From the family, a heartfelt thanks goes out to the staff of the Luther Home for the loving care extended to Pat as a resident of the Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you consider donations to the Emergency Rescue Squad, Inc. or to any foundation/individual that provides support and care to those that suffer from Alzheimer’s/dementia.
The Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the family.
