Morris Griffin Mundt, 99, of Menominee, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at his home. He was born June 30, 1920, in Marinette, Wis., to Louis and Gladys (Griffin) Mundt.
    Morris was a 1938 graduate of Marinette High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1942. He served in the Army for 3 ½ years during World War II both in Europe and the Philippines. In 1947, he married Grace Risberg. The couple recently celebrated 72 years of marriage. Morris was a lifelong member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and deacon. He served on the Marinette School District Board of Education, the Salvation Army Board, YMCA Board of Directors, was a past-president of the Spies Library Board, the Marinette Kiwanis Club and TwiCees.
    Morris is survived by his wife, Grace; daughters: Candace (Bob) Myers and Carrie (Dave) Kehoe; grandchildren: Brandon Kehoe, Amanda Winter, Melinda Malmsten and Miranda Kirk; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; and a nephew. Except for losing our son, Tom, it has been a wonderful journey.
    A private funeral with the family will be held.
