Jerry L. Kell, 80, of the town of Peshtigo, Wis., passed away Nov. 3, 2018, at Rennes East. Born Aug. 11, 1938, son of the late Earl and Margaret (Hill) Kell, he married his beloved wife JoAnn (Pobgee) on Oct. 15, 1960, at St. Gertrude Church in Franklin Park, Ill.
     For 43 years, he was involved in many facets of the industrial fencing and guard rail industry. He retired from Midwest Fence Corporation of Chicago, Ill., in 2003, and moved to his cherished “cabin” on the Peshtigo River. Upon retirement, he spent his days hunting, fishing, enjoying morning coffee with his friends at the Peshtigo Cafe, and playing poker with the guys on Tuesday nights.
     He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his daughter, Lynette and son-in-law Benjamin Ranallo of Plainfield, Ill.; and his son, Jerald Kell and daughter-in-law Laurette of McHenry, Ill. He was adored by his grandchildren: Megan (Justin) Pollack, Katherine Ranallo, Eric Kell, Jake (Cassie) Ranallo and Zoe Kell. He is also survived by his sister, Earlene Kerrott of Florida; his brother, James Kell of California; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Along with is parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Earl Kell and Richard Rae Kell.
     Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, at 10:30 a.m., with Father John Harper officiating.  
    A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
