Jerris R. Freis, 38, of Wallace, Mich., died on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., as the result of  a lifelong struggle with kidney disease. Jerris was born November 20, 1981 in Marinette, Wis. to Richard and Joan (Richards) Freis.
    Jerris graduated from Stephenson High School, class of
2000 and most recently worked as an industrial painter at Enstrom Helicopter. He participated in various local pool leagues. He enjoyed watching college and professional sports and was an avid reader. Jerris loved spending time with
family and friends and gifted them with his quick wit and keen sense of humor.
    He leaves behind both love and laughter.
    Jerris is survived by his parents, Richard and Joan of Wallace; two brothers: Steven (Amanda) Freis of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Adam (Charlie) Freis of Wallace; two nephews and a niece. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a countless number of friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
    Visitation for Jerris will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. with his uncle Phil Richards and friends presiding.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.  Any acts of kindness or sympathy may be directed to Richard or Joan Freis. Because of Jerris’s love of reading, all contributions will be donated to the Menominee County Library in Jerris’s name.
