Janet Marie Grosso, 86, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Rennes Health Center-East surrounded by her family. The former Janet Marie Brazeau was born on Aug. 24, 1933, in Niagara, Wis., to the late Oliver and Julia (Petersen) Brazeau.  
    On May 17, 1952, Janet married James W. Grosso. James preceded her in death on May 27, 1989.  Janet’s retirement job was working for Westlund Bus Lines working with children, a job she truly loved.  A wonderful cook, Janet was well known for her ravioli, pasties and turtles. She was proud to be the matriarch of her large family, and cherished the times she spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Janet was an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
    Survivors include her children:  Arlene (Tom) Mathias, Doug (Kathy) Grosso, Cindy (Jack) Plautz, Jim (Lynn) Grosso and Linda (Mike) Grayson; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister,  Margie LaFave.  Janet was preceded in death by her infant son,  Richard; three brothers; and one sister.
    Visitation will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Janet Marie Grosso at 3 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, with Father Brian Gerber and Deacon Vince Beckley presiding.  
    Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
