Eleanor M. Parrett, 92, of Wallace, Mich., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mich. The former Eleanor Margaret LaCanne was born on March 28, 1927, in Menominee, Mich., to the late William and Esther (Adams) LaCanne.  
     On Dec. 30, 1947, Eleanor married Raymond Parrett in Menominee.  Raymond preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2010. Eleanor was a homemaker and later went to work at the Boreal Glove Factory and then KSU, retiring in 1990. Eleanor enjoyed canning, baking and gardening.  She loved family gatherings and Christmas was her favorite time of year. Eleanor was always game to go on an adventure.
    Survivors include her four daughters: Sandy Leyo of Menominee, Susan (Jack) Heider of Wallace, Debra (Brian) Laurin of Wallace, and LuAnn Nelson of Menominee; two sons: James (Patricia) Parrett of Wallace, and Timothy Parrett of Carney, Mich.; step-daughter, Cheri Marcotte of Ishpeming, Mich.; son-in-law, Joseph Turek of Hermansville, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, with number 39 due in May; and one brother, Norbert LaCanne of Menominee. Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne Turek; son, Richard Parrett; son-in-law,  Roger Leyo; two sisters and three brothers.
    Family will receive friends at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m., with Deacon Tom Rivard officiating.  
    Burial will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery.
    Eleanor’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all her angels at Roubal Care and Rehab Center for the excellent care given to our mother Eleanor by her caring angels. She sends one final “thumbs up” to all her angels at Roubal’s, Mom’s up above “reading between the lines.”
