Donald L. Miller, 78, of Menominee, passed away at MediLodge nursing home in Munising, Mich., on March 7, 2019, where he resided since Feb. 25, 2019. He (Washburn) Miller was born to the late Henning and Evelyn (Kellner) Miller, Sept. 10, 1940, in Menominee.
Don graduated from Menominee High School and served in the U.S. Army. On May 25, 1968, Don married Adeline Green. Don and Addie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Don was employed throughout his life at many jobs ending his working career at Kimberly-Clark Paper Mill as a Millwright retiring at the age of 58. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp in Banat with friends. Don was a member of the M&M Rescue Squad for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline of Menominee; two sons, Steven (Mona) Miller of Grayslake, Ill., and Daniel Miller of Seattle, Wash; one grandson, Alexander; and twin grandchildren, one boy and one girl, not born yet, of Grayslake, Ill.; two sisters:  Mary (Jerry) Schultz of Wausau, Wis.; Joan (Doug) Hofer of Wallace, Mich; two brothers: Gene Miller of Menominee and Bruce (Linda) Miller of Wallace; sister-in-law: Marcy Miller of Menominee; brothers-in-law: Dale, Hank, Irv and Ben Green; sisters-in-law: Betsy and Amy; aunt, Mrs. Red Kellner; uncle: Frank Kellner; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Miller; and sister-in-law: Vicky (Schlack) Miller.

As per Don’s wishes, he has been cremated and a celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 23, at 4 p.m. at the American Legion on 1st Street in Menominee.
