Dennis L. Strojny, 75, of Menominee, Mich., passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at Atrium Post Acute Care. He was born Dec. 26, 1944, in Marinette, Wis., to Joseph and Anne Strojny.
    Dennis spent his early life in Marinette and was a graduate of Marinette Catholic Central High School, Class of 1963. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for two years until his discharge in 1967. After returning to Marinette, he studied engineering at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Dennis was a longtime employee of The Ansul Co./Tyco, working there until his retirement. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating and especially liked any activity on the water. He traveled to Canada and Alaska for fishing trips.
    Dennis is survived by a son, Brian (Stephanie) Strojny; a daughter, Carol Bretl; three grandchildren: Treven, Reagan and Brittney; five brothers: Roger (Theresa), Don (Joan), Tom (Carol), Joe and Paul; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Keith Bretl; a sister, Joanne Schmidt; a brother, Leo; and a sister-in-law, Cheri Strojny.
    A graveside interment service with Military Honors will be held at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. (Please note the date.)
