Dawn M. Anderson, 87, Marinette, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. Dawn was born Feb. 12, 1932, to the late Ernest and Clara (Young) Marcouiller in Chicago, Ill., where she spent her early years, moving to Marinette in 1947.
Dawn attended Alvernia High School in Chicago, Marinette High School in Marinette and was a 1950 graduate of the former Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Marinette. On June 20, 1953, she married James L. Anderson, who preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1973. She was previously employed by the former First National Bank of Marinette and the City of Marinette. Dawn was a member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church of Marinette and was a member and Past President of the Marinette Jaycettes. She enjoyed working on her computer, reading, knitting, making craft items for her home and for her friends and playing Scrabble and Bridge. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling.
Dawn is survived by one son: Allen L. (Sheryll) Anderson of Baraboo, Wis.; one nephew: Denis J. (Dianne) DeCamp of Schaumburg, Ill.; a great-nephew: Jonathan M. (Caroline) DeCamp and their daughters: Amelia, Clara and Mallory of Itasca, Ill.; a great-niece: Amanda E. (Matthew) Wayman and their daughter: Elina and son: Harvey, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and special friends, Douglas A. Biehl and Kimber L. Olson of Marinette. Along with her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Ernest E. Marcouiller, Gordon L. Marcouiller and Allen J. Marcouiller; one sister: Eleanor (Marcouiller) DeCamp; and a brother-in-law: Morris J. DeCamp.
It was her wish that there be a private family service in place of a formal funeral. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette.
