Cheryl A. Strojny, 61, of Menominee, Mich., passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019. She was born July 7, 1957, in Sheboygan to Harlan and Marilyn (Hersh) Held.
     Cheryl graduated from Brookfield High School and then Lakeland College with a degree in business. She worked at Ansul/Tyco for many years until her illness. On June 20, 1981, Cheryl married Joseph Strojny in Sheboygan Falls, Wis. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed reading. She was an active member of Resurrection Parish and enjoyed volunteering her time to various activities.
    Cheryl is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe; a son, Mark (Amanda) of Pulaski; a daughter, Sara Hensley of Menominee; her mother, Marilyn (Don) Martin of Waukesha; step-mother, Judy Held of Kohler; a brother, Steven (Rosewitha) Held of Virginia; two sisters: Sue (Don) Schneider of Colorado and Sandy (Greg) Bowe of Florida; and two grandchildren: Paige and Jeffrey. She was preceded in death by her, father Harlan; and a brother, Scott.
    Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Cheryl Strojny, at Resurrection Parish at 11 a.m., Saturday, with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding.
    Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
