Charles Walter Everson, 91, formerly of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Feb. 21, 2019, in the Gardens of Camp Hill, Penn. He was born on Jan. 9, 1928, in Menominee to the late Walter and Mabel (Gilbert) Everson.
    Charles was a graduate of Menominee High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he was an American Legion Member. Charles married the former Joyce Klaver. She preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2013. He worked in the meat industry for many years until retiring from HERCO in 1993. He enjoyed hunting, water skiing, boating and spending time at his summer home on the Susquehanna River.
    Charles is survived by his son, Michael Shane Everson; two brothers: Eugene and Douglas Everson; close family friend, Dawn Moberg; nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, Joyce, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Everson; and three sisters: Pamela Everson, Myrtle Barcewski and Lois Linsmeier.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Charles Walter Everson on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Resurrection Parish in Menominee, with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding. Friends may gather at the church just prior to the mass.
    Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with Military Honors.
