MARINETTE — Two semis blocked passage on Highway 180 near Cox Landing 5:08 a.m. Monday after a northbound truck jack-knifed and the second attempted to pass, but slid into the ditch. The two trucks did not collide, although both the northbound and southbound lanes were blocked for nearly three hours. Both trucks were successfully removed by 7:57 a.m.

Nearly a half an hour before, a snow plow attempted to pass a parked semi on U.S. 41 near Schacht Road, but slid attempting to pass because of the icy road conditions, and was rear-ended by another vehicle. Traffic was reduced to a single lane on U.S. 41 for about an hour. No injuries were reported from either accident.
