Power outage hit parts of Menominee

MENOMINEE — Power was out for about 1,700 Wisconsin Public Service customers Sunday in Menominee County.

According to Matt Cullen, a senior communications specialist for WPS, the power went out around 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening. He said WPS crews responded and had the power back up by 8:10 p.m., just over an hour and a half later.

Cullen said the cause of the outage was due to an equipment issue on one of the utility poles.
